Benson Dermatology in Ponchatoula—ideally located within 45 minutes of the Northshore Communities, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge—has been dedicated since 1980 to providing the latest proven techniques and treatments in dermatology and cosmetic surgery to our beloved South Louisiana. To better serve our broad patient base, Benson Dermatology has opened an additional clinic in Covington on Greenbriar Boulevard in Normandy Oaks, near Highway 21 and just north of Interstate 12.

Dr. Robert Benson and his dedicated staff of certified Nurse Practitioners—Sandra Thornhill and Susan Smith—and Physician Assistants—Julie O'Donnell and Kimberly Benson—have many decades of experience in all aspects of dermatology, dermatological surgery, cosmetic surgery, and general medicine.
Dr. Benson is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. For over 20 years, Dr. Benson has been performing advanced cosmetic procedures in the United States and abroad. He was among the first physicians in the US to perform traditional liposuction, Smartlipo laser liposculpture, laser resurfacing, fat transfer procedures, and facial-sculpting injectable treatments.
Dr. Benson is the founder of QnA Medical Spa and Cosmetic Surgery, a state-of-the-art cosmetic facility located in the heart of downtown Ponchatoula. QnA has been chosen by the maker of Smartlipo as one of four Center of Excellence facilities in the US to train other surgeons in advanced laser liposuction techniques.
