Laser hair removal is the most popular reason patients utilize aesthetic laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology. Not all hair removal treatments are created equal, however, and many are ineffective in the long-term removal of hair, especially in certain stubborn area such as the upper lip and neck. QnA Medical Spa uses two different types of modalities, Cutera's 1064 Nd: YAG laser and the 770 IPL, to tailor-make treatments not only for these two problem areas, but also for any other area with dark, coarse hair. Even those with darker skin tones, who in the past could not avail themselves of laser or IPL hair removal, can be successfully and safely treated as well.
Laser Vein Removal
Laser technology has long been applied to unsightly red and blue vessels on the legs and face. The 1064 Nd: YAG laser at QnA Medical Spa is specifically designed to remove these spider veins with little or no discomfort and minimal post-treatment restrictions. Each treatment brings tangible results, and, even on darker shades of skin, unwanted vessels can be eliminated before your eyes.
Laser Genesis (for rosacea, skin redness, and texture)
Several conditions cause the skin of the face and neck to be red in appearance. These include rosaeca, chronic sun damage, hereditary factors, and keratosis pilaris, which often reddens the cheeks of children as well as adults. All of these conditions are treatable by means of Laser Genesis, which targets only the red vessels in the skin while leaving the rest of the skin untouched. As treatments progress, the energy from Cutera's 1064 Nd: YAG laser gradually reduces skin redness while improving its texture by reducing pore size and stimulating collagen.
LimeLight IPL (for sun damage, brown spots, skin redness, and tiny veins)
The Cutera LimeLight is the latest twist in a time-tested, laser-like treatment called Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), which treats sun damage, brown spots, freckles, skin redness, and tiny veins. The great advantage the LimeLight has over other IPL systems is its flexibility to tailor itself to the particular problem being addressed. The result is unprecedented success in improving or eliminating those aging, sun-induced, and genetic conditions that affect both skin tone and texture. This technology is especially useful for light-complexioned skin with freckling and a ruddy tone. The LimeLight also improves mottled, weathered-looking skin on the neck so commonly seen after years of sun exposure. The procedure requires only mild topical anesthesia or cool gel before the treatment and no downtime afterwards. Monthly sessions are the typical for most applications, and the results are cumulative and long-lasting, if proper sun protection and antioxidant therapy are ongoing.
